Whereas, the number of Malaysian people visiting Cambodia during the first 8 months of 2015 is 106,654  showing increasing number of 4.5% comparing to same period in 2014.
What is so special about Malaysia? Regarding the annual festival, there are around 50 events celebrated annually in order to attract international tourists into the country. What is even fantastic during these last two years, 2 big programs were especially-organized with the purpose of promoting the prosperous properties particularly tourist destinations of Malaysia. One of them is called Visit Malaysia Year celebrated every 7 years was such a big success in 2014.

Another amazing year was in 2015, the biggest event named Year of Festival 2015, was organized by Tourism Malaysia with royal government cooperated with tourism-related private sectors to organize more than 200 festivals to attract tourists to visit Malaysia. This year marked a huge success with a remarkable increase of number of visitors though it was not much, but it still showed a notable rise.

Ms. Ratha also mentioned some useful advices for tourists visiting Malaysia for the very first time. Regarding the best time to visit this wonderful country is in March-April, July-September and November-January since there will be special sale promotions during these periods of time so that everyone can enjoy their time at shopping paradise on earth as well as visit many tourism sites including natural sites like Tea farm, Langkawi Island with 99 islands (Travel 45 minutes by flight from Kuala Lumpur) and other kinds of sites.

Another worth-mentioning point from Ms. Ratha is that visa is not needed if you visit Malaysia for less than 1 month but you need to have the passport which is valid for at least 6 months. Talking about the most visited city is Kuala Lumpur since it is just like our Phnom Penh city as it is the capital city or so called the city of trade. Besides this large city, Malacca and Johor should also be taken consideration.
